Lessons From the 20s

SAS Editorial

Not the 1920s, but the age of the 20s. On Tuesday, I turned the big 29 years old. It hit me this is the last year of my 20s. A lot has happened during my 20s, from graduating from college, to moving to Fort Worth, to coming back here to run the newspaper. There are some lessons I’ve learned through these times. Maybe this will help someone in their 20s now or about to turn 20.

One of the lessons I’ve learned is you don’t know everything. After graduating college, you think the whole word is there for you to take. You’ll learn quickly that is not the case. However, do not get discouraged. It will take time and effort, but we all learn from experience. I’m 29 and sometimes I feel like I don’t know anything. Take this opportunity to grow and learn.
