Two “Secrets” You May Not Know..

There are a lot of things about our little town of Hampton that make living here a privilege. I want to mention a couple of little known secrets recently revealed. Knowing people, the right people, who soon become friends, has benefits only revealed as time goes by. In our small town, we have time to stop, visit and share the best things in life, our small town life.

Discovered this past week was a new ‘brand’ of fried pork skins and cracklings. Made and sold locally these things are some of the best I’ve tasted. Right now my favorite are the salt & vinegar made just right to be light and tasty. The cracklings, well, they are made the way I like. I tried them for the first time when a package of the new flavor was brought in to a friend of the maker. (It’s good to be around when friends’ friends stop by.) I was told they sell at Rusty’s. I went by and bought a couple of bags. It’s a secret (new perhaps) that you need to know about. I hear that pork skins are better for you than potato chips,...well that’s a good thing. Look for the ad in this issue for more information on getting your own bag.
