Arrests Made for Burglary in County

After a joint investigation with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office formally charged Mickey McWhirter and Tony Evans on 3/26/19. McWhirter and Evans were charged with one count of Residential Burglary for the Dewey Brandon Hunting Club burglary. McWhirter also was charged with another Residential Burglary for the Earnest burglary in Thornton. Both subjects are being held by the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office on other burglary charges.

After investigating a theft of utility line copper from the area of Calhoun 83, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office took Jason Davis, Rockie Launius, and Ricky Broughton into custody on 3/27/19. Davis, Launius, and Broughton were all charged with Theft of Scrap Metal and Criminal Mischief.
