Calhoun County Election Results

Arkansas was one of 11 participating states in the Super Tuesday primary. Former Vice President Joe Biden won the Democratic primary in Arkansas. In Calhoun County, a total of 717 ballots were cast. There were 325 Democrat ballots, 380 Republican ballots, and 16 Nonpartisan ballots were cast in the county.

Biden received the most votes in Calhoun County with 141 votes. Michael Bloomberg got 66 votes placing second and Bernie Sanders made third place with a total of 52 votes. Democratic candidates Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg both received 13 total votes.

Keidra Burrell beat Garry L. Smith in the Democrat primary for State Senate of District 27. The unopposed Democrat candidates for Calhoun County are: William H. Hanson, George Calloway, Jr., Christopher Ogburn, David Smith, Harold F. Duncan, John E. Green, Lionel “Pop” Johnson, Burleigh Williamsn, Joan Ingram, Willie Fricks, Jimmy Williams, Randy Duncan, John Beasley, and Dorothy Ware.
