Calhoun County Quorum Court

The Court met in its November meeting this past Monday to discuss, primarily, end of year issues. During regular session, the Court passed five ordinances (see page 8) and heard brief comments from the county extension agent and county treasurer explaining projections and budget items for the New Year. The regular session was adjourned as they entered discussion on budget requests for the next fiscal year.

The discussion over each budget requests was reviewed and generally approved as much remained the same. Several department heads stayed throughout the meeting. Salary increases would be among the line item increases and continued discussion. The most significant talk was concerning the ambulance service.
