Hampton Archery Team Competes in Regional Tournament

On Saturday the Hampton High  School and Elementary Archery  Teams traveled to Hamburg for the  Regional Archery Tournament.  

Although they did not win the  team showed great skill and some of  the students placed well in the standings,  with Landon Cogburn placing  the highest among Hampton  Students with a score of 251 out of  a possible 300.  

This is the first year for archery  at Hampton Schools and they were  competing against teams that have  been around for many years.  

“I am proud of all the 36 students  that competed and gave their all”  said Coach Terry Clark. Clark said  that although they had very little  time to prepare for this and neither  he nor the students knew what to  expect they did well and are now  getting ready to go back next year  and give it their all.
