Hampton City Council Agenda Full of Repairs
Beginning the night was a comment from the mayor in response to the solid waste cost increase for the city. The current tax should cover it, “hopefully.” A close monitoring of the charges will be made. The city is currently receiving street repair bids to repair sections of up to 8 streets. “The cost of asphalt is just high right now.” Mayor Rick Shirron commented.
A motion passed to repair city hall’s bathroom and get it up to code at a cost of $2,800 per restroom along with a sewer repair that would be less than $1,000 with the city’s assistance.
