Hampton Hires New Recorder/Treasurer and New Officers
Brooke Parker was approved by the Hampton City Council to become the new city recorder and treasurer. Hampton Mayor Rick Shirron said she came highly recommended. Calhoun County Clerk Jeanie Smith swore Parker in as city recorder and treasurer.
The Hampton Police Department hired two new officers. Joey Jones is one of the new officers. He is from Hampton and told the council he was glad to be here. Joey Martin is the other new officer to be hired at the department. Martin said he didn’t like retirement and wanted to get back to work. He has police experience.
