Local Storyteller Shares Life Stories From Upcoming Book
The Calhoun County Library hosted a book signing event with local storyteller Charles Strickland and author Lavana Jones Kindle. Both were there to promote his new children’s book My Dog Kabong! and Life Stories: Lessons Learned from the School of Hard Knocks.
In the book My Dog Kabong!, Strickland shares true-life tales growing up in Hampton with his dog, Kabong. Kabong was given the name because he could jump straight in the air six feet and lick Strickland on the nose. Kindle read the Forward from the book to the audience.
