Summer Reading Begins at County Library

Summer Reading Begins at County Library

Starting at 12pm on Monday, June 22, Summer Reading Program bags will be ready for pick-up at Calhoun County Library! Each bag contains several crafts and activities, with supplies needed to complete all the crafts (crayons, scissors, watercolor paints, a glue stick, and a few other things) and are geared for children ages 2-12, though younger children will need parental assistance. The bags will contain paper reading logs, but you can also sign up through our online summer reading program software to track your reading. There are activities available online and in the bags that can be completed for extra entries into the raffles for prize packs at the end of the program! You have until July 17 to complete the reading log (each log after the first counts as an extra entry into the drawings as well) and activities. We will miss seeing all of you at the library for our usual programs, but we are very hopeful that next year we can resume our usual in-house summer activities. If you have any questions about any of the crafts or activities or about signing up for the online program, please give us a call at (870) 798-4492 or email calcolib@gmail.com for assistance.
