TALES FROM THE SHIRE

More than half the summer is gone, so I had better get going on that to-do list because mostly I’ve been doing the what not-to-do list, like reading, watching true crime shows, and going shopping. It’s not spree shopping, but bargain shopping while doing the necessary food and miscellaneous shopping. If there’s a clearance sign, I’m on it. Usually the great finds go into a “for school” stash.

The other day my deal went into the kitchen cabinets.

For some reason, I can’t take a large glass and pour it a third or half way. It seems like a waste of glass space. Yes, I know that is crazy. So I have little juice glasses about double-shot size for when I need just a few sips of milk with snacks. Then I have some that hold 8 or 10 ounces or so, perfect for milk with a sandwich or meal. The tallest I have are what we down south might call tea glasses, probably two cups or 20 ounces. There are at least six of each size, plus two random ones that are about 14 ounces.
