Thornton City Council Votes to Repair Sewer Building

The Thornton City Council approved to fix the waste treatment building. Bobby Cook, water supervisor, spoke to the council that the sewer building was falling apart. Cook said water has eroded the concrete base and the tin used on the building has also eroded.

Cook said they can put concrete under the building to make the area more secure. Mayor Libby Coates commented it’s been needed to be done for some time. They got bids and the work will be done by a company out of Pine Bluff called Cato’s Trucking, Asphalt, and Pavement.
