On September 13, 2020, Chief Deputy Andy Carter was dispatched to the Harrell Post Office in reference to a break in. On arrival, Carter spoke to Lindy Stivers who works at the Post Office. Stivers stated that she had received word that a door had been kicked in at the Post Office, and she left her residence to check. On her arrival, she noticed that the glass in the inside door leading into the lobby had been kicked, but no entry had been made through that door. The wooden service door had also been kicked, and entry had been made through it into the work room area. Stivers stated that she then made contact with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. Stivers stated that several of the drawers had been pulled out, but she did not see anything missing. Contact was made with the United States Postal Inspection Service, and Postal Inspector Mickey Schuetzle was sent to the Post Office to investigate. Bulldogs Win Opener Over Centerpoint 12-10

The Hampton Bulldogs opened the 2020 season last Monday at Boyd Arnold Stadium with a hard fought victory over the Class 3A Centerpoint Knights. It came 3 days late and against a different opponent but it was a great win nonetheless. Originally, Hampton was supposed to be at Mountain Pine to kick off the year but the Red Devils went to 8 man football in early August. Centerpoint stepped in to take Mountain Pines place and the Dogs had quickly stepped up in weight class with the seasoned Knights from Pike County.
