Betty Jane McDuffie Dunn

Betty Jane McDuffie Dunn, 90, of Hampton, died Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at The Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Magnolia. She was born July 12, 1930, to the late James Allen and Nettie Jane Adams McDuffie in Bradley County and graduated from Hampton High School. She married Rev. Horace J. Dunn on June 6, 1948, and was a faithful helpmate and ministry partner for 57 years as he pastored churches across south Arkansas. Her personal ministry focused on children, and she led a countless number of individuals to Christ throughout her life. Even in assisted living, she was faithful to share Jesus with those around her. She was a member of Brister Baptist Church at Emerson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers: Raymond McDuffie, Jesse McDuffie, and Carol McDuffie; two sisters: Kathleen James-Basse and Shirley McDuffie; and a son-in-law, Johnny Langley.

She is survived by her daughters: Cindy Graves and husband Mike of El Dorado and Kim Tomlin and husband Jason of Lewisville; eight grandchildren: Brent Erwin of Georgia, Stacy Hill of Benton, Krysta Parker and husband Daniel of Nashville, Jeremy Langley and wife Mary of Emerson, Stephanie Powell and husband William of Stamps, and Michelle Moseley and husband Bo, Jamie Graves and wife Crystal, and Amie Vinson and husband Eli all of El Dorado; 19 great-grandchildren: A.J. (Courtney) Erwin, Tiffany Erwin, Charlie Erwin, Taylor Hill, Emily Hill, Julie Hill, Abbi Parker, Ryder Parker, John Garrett Parker, Brady Parker, Case Parker, Truitt Langley, Colt Powell, Zack Westbrook, Luke and Canaan Vinson, Micah and Kiley Graves, and Devin (Hannah) Graves; two great-great-grandchildren: Axton Erwin and Blakeley Graves (arriving soon); a sister-in-law: Ida Lou Johnson of Little Rock; and two brothers-in-law: Carroll Wayne Dunn and wife Marty of Little Rock and William Dunn of Tontitown.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Dunn Cemetery near Hampton with Bro. Jeremy Langley and Bro. Steve Flemming officiating under the direction of Benton Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Davis, Barry Dunn, Robin James, Terry James, Ryder Parker, A.J. Erwin, and Homer Dean Barnes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Brister Baptist Church Building Fund, 3711 Hwy 79 S., Emerson, AR 71740.
