Rev. Harold L. Harper

Rev. Harold L. Harper, 91 of Fordyce died Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his home. He was born September 8, 1927 in Warren, Arkansas. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He pastored for over 59 years, with the last 47 years at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jess Harper and Jewel Sullivan Harper, wife of fifty two years, Betty Lou Beard Harper; son, Michael Harper; and two grandchildren, Amy and Kalom Emerson. He is survived by fi ve daughters, Judy (Fred) Fell of Neosho, MO, Sandy (Tony) Harcrow of Holly Springs, Tammy Harper of Fordyce, and Becky (Del) Mosley of Bearden, Brittney (Dennis) Blackerby of Sheridan; thirteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren. Memorials services will be 10:00 am Saturday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. David Dillard offi ciating. Th e family would like to give a special thank you to: Kindred Hospice, Tina Freeman, Tracie Rogers and Sandy Mosley, ARPN, and grandson, Nathan Pennington who never left his grandfather’s side the last two weeks.
