Benjamin Kenneth

“Benny” Jordan age 78 of Fordyce died Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his home. He was born March 13, 1942 in Calhoun County, Arkansas. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fordyce and he had retired from Lockheed Martin East Camden, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Jordan and Hazel Gresham Jordan. Benny is survived by his wife Brenda Jordan of Fordyce; two sons, Chris Jordan and his wife Kayla of Fordyce, Tony Jordan and his wife Tiffany of Romance; one daughter, J.J. Jones of Benton; one sister, Phyllis Dunham of Myrtle Beach, SC; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Fordyce with Rev. Rusty Ross and Rev. Arlis East officiating. Burial will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Fordyce or Chambersville Cemetery Association. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. Charles Hoyt Bunn, age 78 of Benton died Friday, June 19, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born January 16, 1942 in Crossett, Arkansas. Hoyt was a high school teacher and guidance counselor at Crossett High School for most of his career and ended his teaching career at Henderson State University. He was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock. He is preceded in death by his parents, Loyle Olen Bunn and Juanita Harris Bunn; and two brothers, Gayle and Keith Bunn. Hoyt is survived by his wife Lee Bunn of Benton; one son, Charles Hoyt Bunn, Jr. and his wife Rosalind of Marietta, GA; one daughter, Susan Juanita Kennedy and her husband Danny of Bauxite; five grandchildren, Margaret Forgy of Alexander, Christine Robinson of Lilburn, GA, Kelly Holt of Panama City, FL, Sarah Turner of Clinton, MO, Sophie Kennedy of Bauxite; and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Cossey and Rev. Max Pyron officiating. Martha Rae Bowen

Martha Rae Bowen,born July 9, 1931, 88, of Hampton, AR went to be in her heavenly home on June 12, 2020 departing from this earth from the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. She was a lifelong resident of the Tinsman, AR community until she moved to Jonesboro in December 2015. Martha Rae loved to garden, can vegetables from the garden, crochet, and quilt. She was a member of the Harrell United Methodist Church. She spent thirty-four years of her life dedicated to teaching students in the Tinsman and Hampton Public Schools before retiring in 1985. She had the heart of a servant. After retirement, she volunteered in the Hampton community by being a member of a community team that distributed commodities to many residents of Calhoun County. She was a loving wife, mother, and educator. She will be greatly missed.

Jody Lynn Ream

Jody Lynn Ream, 48 of Banks, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020. He was born April 14, 1972 in Hobbs, NM to the late Myrle Clyde and Edell West Ream. He was of the Baptist faith; worked as a logger; enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors, and listening to music.

Jean Sweeney Booker

Jean Sweeney Booker, age 83, died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at her home in Hermitage, Arkansas. She was born April 21, 1937 in Strong, Arkansas. She is the daughter of the late Odie Burns and Violet Marie Roach Burns. Jean was a housewife and homemaker and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church at Gravel Ridge.
