William Brooks Ricker, age 54 of Hampton, died Friday, August 7, 2020 at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, AR. He was born December 6, 1965 in Hampton, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, John C. Ricker and Esther J. McClure Ricker. He is survived by two sons Samuel Ricker of Hampton and William Ricker of Morrilton; one daughter Sarah Ricker of Morrilton; one brother John Ricker of Hampton; and three sisters Joann McMahan of Locust Bayou, Lori Bishop of Wellington, KS, and Karla Phillips of El Dorado. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Monday at Pickett Cemetery near Hampton with Rev. Wilton Lee “Bunk” Davidson, 87 of Thornton died Monday July 27, 2020 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. Born August 20, 1932 at Thornton, he was a son of the late Johnny Davidson and Annie Steelman Davidson.
Betty Jane McDuffie Dunn, 90, of Hampton, died Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at The Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Magnolia. She was born July 12, 1930, to the late James Allen and Nettie Jane Adams McDuffie in Bradley County and graduated from Hampton High School. She married Rev. Horace J. Dunn on June 6, 1948, and was a faithful helpmate and ministry partner for 57 years as he pastored churches across south Arkansas. Her personal ministry focused on children, and she led a countless number of individuals to Christ throughout her life. Even in assisted living, she was faithful to share Jesus with those around her. She was a member of Brister Baptist Church at Emerson.
Valarie Ann Wisinger Wedgeworth Ritchey, age 64 of Hampton died Sunday, July 5, 2020 at her home. She was born August 27, 1955 in Monticello, Arkansas. She was a retired L.P.N. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Erastus Wisinger and Willie Mae Boyd Pyle; one sister, Shirley Chelette; and four brothers, Sammy Crews, Johnny Crews, Melvin Benson, and David Fambrough. She is survived by her husband, Ray Wedgeworth of Hampton; one son, Daniel Ray Wedgeworth of AZ; one brother, James Lloyd Wisinger of Louann; one sister, Donna Dumas and husband Johnny of Hamburg; and one grandchild, Amber Wedgeworth. Mary Ann Burson, 86 of Hampton died Saturday, June 27, 2020. She was born October 8, 1933 in Harrell, Arkansas to the late Horace Ivy and Georgie Ginn Ivy Primm. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Lloyd Kenith Burson, SR., her grandson Jason Lee Oliver, and four brothers: Ginn, Buddy, Thomas, and John Ivy.
