Hampton vs Drew Central: 46-6

The Bulldogs thrashed Drew Central to the tune of 46 to 6. The Dogs moved the at will but stopped themselves, more times than the Pirates stopped them, with 152 yards in penalties and two scores called back plus two lost fumbles.

Hampton’s offensive execution was sharp on most plays but their athleticism was way ahead of the Pirates and they were not prepared for the assault on their defense.

Hampton received the opening kickoff. Tre Murphy returned the ball to the 33 and the dogs went to work. Dante Rainey ran for 19; Immanuel Hegler got 23,1st and ten at the Pirates 27. Two penalties put the ball on the 37. Manta Thomas good for 20; Kevin Childs made 5 and from the 12 Childs took it home for the Dogs first score. The conversion failed 6 to 0.
