Junior Conference Tournament

Hampton’s junior girls and boys teams played Monday, after having a bye in the first round. The girls played Hermitage and lost 33 to 31. The boys met Strong and won 37 to 34 and moved on to the championship game on Tuesday.

The girls were close in every quarter and led in the third. Each quarter ended with a two point lead. Hermitage closed the game out shooting ten free throws and making four to come from three points down and get the win the last 2 minutes.

Cameron had her best offensive output game of the year scoring 16 points; Lesly Alanis 4, Kendall Duff and Taija Billings 5 each and Ahjah Phillips two. They were 6 of 12 on free throw shooting.
