The Silliness of Politics

The silliness of adults in their attempt to make a statement is often revealing in character and ideology. The address to Congress by the president would have been embarrassing but it was expected. I'm talking about the response and reaction by the party who remained seated with no applause even in the times when it would seem agreeable.

If fraud, waste and abuse in government was important to rid, the house should have applauded wholly and enthusiastically. The bitter hatred of the President overshadows any positive good that may be done. No matter what may happen to benefit anyone, if the current President has anything to do with it there is no applause or accolade by the opposition. I would suppose that is not far off from the previous Presidential tenure and it's opposition.

If we can sort through the rhetoric and find actual items of agreement, this country will be much better off along with the rest of the world. Presidents and politicians come and go but the United States continues on. Each generation must decide what it will stand firm on in order to sustain the constitutional republic we live under, more commonly referred to as democracy. Acting silly and ignoring things we don't like is not accomplishing anything but more clarity in the inability to work together to govern fairly, justly and reasonably—common sense.
