Edd Dempsey, 88 of Hampton, died Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Little Rock. He was born December 3, 1931 in Holly Springs to the late Perry Dempsey and Ellen Brown Dempsey. He was also preceded in death by his wife Pattie Speer Dempsey and eleven brothers and sisters.

Mae Dell Hines Williams

Mae Dell Hines Williams, 82 of Harrell died Wednesday October 14, 2020 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas at El Dorado. Born October 12, 1938 in Bradley County, she was a daughter of the late Leroy “Red” Hines and Thelma Huitt Hines. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Harrell and was a supervisor at the Nutrition Center in Hampton.

Hamp Strickland

Hamp Strickland, 94 of Hampton died Friday October 2, 2020 at St. John’s place in Fordyce. Born January 29, 1926 at Hampton, he was a son of the late William A. Strickland and Mattie Inzer Strickland. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was an insurance agent for Shelter Insurance. He was a used car salesman and a friend to a lot of people.

Benjamin Odell Travis

Benjamin Odell Travis, age 56 of Hampton died Tuesday, September 15, 2020. He was born February 1, 1964 in Fordyce, Arkansas. He was a truck driver for Freer Trucking. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Odell Travis and Nina Louise Speer Travis. He is survived by two cousins Joan Bryant of Benton and Doris Reddin of Mesquite, TX. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Ebenezer Cemetery near Fordyce with Rev. Everett Smith officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
