Employees from the Calhoun County Health Unit surprised Paula Inzer with a retirement party. Inzer is retiring as clerk from the Arkansas Department of Health in Calhoun County. She has been at the department for 33 years. Inzer said she doesn’t have any plans after retirement, just to “enjoy life.” It was a hard decision to make for Inzer. She said it was a good place to work and they were all like family. Photo by Zach Killian

The Hampton Police Department is fully staffed. Matt Chance is a recent graduate from the police academy in Camden.

The Thornton City Council met in regular session on August 13, 2019 with all council members present. Previous minutes were accepted as printed.
