Spookier than the trick-ortreaters arriving at your door this Friday for Halloween is the way Congress does business.
The Federal Government is 'shutdown' because one side will not capitulate to the other side. Since they are not working it is even more difficult to come to some sort of compromise. Federal workers are not getting paychecks and as a result their mortgages are not being paid, credit cards mount up and utilities may even get cut. Programs that help people and protect people are on hold. And I'm sure you've heard that the SNAP program is in jeopardy.
It is time for Congress to quit goofing off and do the work. I'm sorry if your side lost the election and you are in the minority. Maybe it's time to listen to the people and do what is right for the country. Not doing anything is just a stupid idea and gets you nowhere.
Do the right thing!
