Mr. Felton Jackson

Mr. Felton Jackson

Mr. Felton Jackson with the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Division visited Calhoun County to assist our cattle producers with BANGS Vaccinations. BANGS vaccinations are administered through the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Division, a private veterinarian, or during specific vaccination clinics organized by the state or county extension offices. The vaccine protects against brucellosis, a disease that can cause abortions and other reproductive issues in cattle. After vaccination, eligible heifers between 4- 12 months of age receive an official ear tag and a tattoo in the right ear to mark the vaccination date and type. For more information on how to be added to our beef producer list, contact Shaney Hill at the Calhoun County Extension Office 870-798-2231.
