The School Board Meeting Tuesday night highlighted the State and Conference wins for both boys and girls tennis. As shown above, the girls won the 2A-8 Conference Doubles and also a runner up. The boys also had a runner up team in conference. The boys doubles also had an impressive win as runner up in State 2A division. Congratulations to the entire team.
The team's coach, Mary 'Stick' Smith, also had an accomplishment this year as she was inducted into the SAU Sports 22nd Hall of Fame Class for the 1975-76 and 1976-78 Riderette Basketball Teams! Stick was recognized on October 10, 2025 in the Grand Hall at SAU in Magnolia and als during the halftime of the football game at SAU on October 11, 2025.
The School board opens each month with prayer and pledge led by students. This month the prayer was by Mary Miller and the pledge of allegiance was led by Kennedi Daniell, Heidi Williams and Tiana Childs.
The meeting heard concerns about the Sixth Grade Graduation schedule and bonuses for employees. The next School board meeting will be Tuesday,
December 16, at 6:00 p.m.
