Hampton Bulldogs Capture 2A-8 Conference Championship Under Coach Brandon Jones

HAMPTON, AR — History has been made once again in Hampton. Under the leadership of second-year Head Coach Brandon Jones, the Hampton Bulldogs Senior Boys Basketball Team has claimed the 2026 2A-8 Conference Championship, a banner the program has not earned since the 2008–2009 season. The achievement marks a powerful return to dominance for Bulldog basketball and a testament to the discipline, growth, and heart displayed by this year’s squad.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season with an impressive 22–6 overall record, while posting a strong 13–3 conference mark, securing the top spot in the 2A-8 standings. Throughout the season, Hampton showcased grit on defense, unselfish play, and a relentless will to compete hallmarks of Coach Jones’ vision for the program.

“This group has bought in completely,” said Coach Jones. “They trust each other, they work, and they compete every night. This championship is the result of their commitment.”

With the conference crown, Hampton also earns the No. 1 seed in the upcoming 2A-8 District Tournament, which begins this week in Junction City. The Bulldogs are scheduled to take the floor Thursday, February 19th at 5:30 p.m., looking to continue their championship momentum into postseason play.

For a community rich in championship tradition, this season represents more than just wins, it symbolizes pride, perseverance, and the revival of a championship culture in Hampton.

As banners return to the rafters and excitement builds across the town, one thing is clear: Bulldog basketball is back, and the future looks brighter than ever. Congratulations to the Hampton Bulldogs — 2026 2A-8 Conference Champions!
