Jeremy Martin Wins County Judge, Jeanie Smith Wins County Clerk

There are 2,900 registered voters in Calhoun County. 603 of those took advantage of early voting while 458 voted on the day of election for a total of 1,091 votes cast or 37% of registered voters casting votes.

While that seems like a low turnout it is typical for most elections. That being said, 909 of those voted in the republican primary for the contested races of County Judge and County Clerk.

Jeremy Martin came out with 62% (561 votes)of the vote to win County Judge. Kaleb Belin won 30% (269 votes) while Cody Vaughn took 8% (79 votes).

In the Clerk's race, Jeanie Smith won with 73% (665 votes) against 'Nikki' Powers with 27% (230 votes).
