Nearly 99% of our nation’s farms and ranches and over 95% of our nation’s small businesses are owned and operated by individuals and families. Family-owned businesses and family farms that have been passed down for generations fuel our economy. Managing a small business or farm operation is no small feat, especially with the current economic climate, and especially for families, which is why it’s a shame that the federal government sees these operations as an opportunity for increased tax revenue. 02/01/2024 04:00 AM

Tax Town Hall Meeting Monday on Tax Issues— March 5 Ballot
The Judge will be hosting a town hall meeting in the Calhoun County Courthouse. It is an opportunity to ask questions about the tax issues that will be on the ballot, March 5. The taxes will be used primarily for building a roof over the CalCo Arena. There will be a two taxes on the ballot. One tax will be used to pay for the building of the arena roof.
