Freedom Isn’t Provided by the Government

We take it for granted, freedom. We think the government gives it to us, freely. But in fact the opposite is true. Almost without exception, the government legislates (makes laws and rules) restrictions, constraints, or mandates that take away our ability to do whatever we want, or not do something.

When there is a stalemate in congress and they can’t agree on policies or laws, they can’t pass them. That just might be a good thing... one less law to have to abide, one less regulation to figure out. And, in today’s spend free congress, billions less dollars we have to eventually pay in taxes. One method of keeping the freedom we do have—muzzle congress.
