Bulldogs Fall to Thunderbirds

Hampton traveled to Cherry Valley last Saturday afternoon to take on the Cross County Thunderbirds. The game was quickly scheduled after Smackover was unable to play. The 1st half was all Thunderbirds as they took advantage of a lethargic group of Dogs to lead 21-0 at halftime.
The 2nd half was a different Hampton team as they roared back to within 2 late before fallng 28-26. Ashton Rice ran for 1 TD and passed for another, a 12 yard strike to Jonah Phillips. Cymeon McRae had a 12 yard rushing TD and Zy Johnson scored on a 10 yard run. Easton Welch led the receiving corp with 4 catches for 55 yards.
