Calhoun County Receives Water Extension Grant

Calhoun County Receives Water Extension Grant

LITTLE ROCK – Calhoun County was one of 28 cities and counties presented awards totaling more than $7.5 million by Gov. Asa Hutchinson at a ceremony Oct. 24 at the State Capitol.

Calhoun County received a $729,390 grant for a water extension project. The funds originate from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) State Program for Small Cities and are administered by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) Grants Division.
