Church Van and Trailer Damaged by Storm

The Antioch Missionary Baptist Church van was severely damaged by a fallen tree in the storm on the morning of Sunday, May 28. Th e van is stored at Amy Hurst’s house in Woodberry. Hurst said the tree landed approximately 100 yards from her house.

The van is at the Hurst house because she drives the van on Wednesday nights to pick up about 60 kids between the van and bus. Th e van was recently paid off . Th e Antioch Missionary Baptist Church youth group did fundraisers to pay the van off . Hurst said insurance gave them a good price that will help fund a new church bus, which they were in the process of doing already. Hurst confi rmed they will be doing more fundraisers.
