City Council’s Last Meeting of 2020

The final meeting of the Hampton City Council of the happened on December 21. The conversation turned to the previous meeting’s tabled topics of horses, dogs, and houses.

Horses...

The city council agreed that the horses in question were not a nuisance and neighbors had no complaints. The ordinance restricting them would need to be changed, which could open the door for others. The status quo holds for now.

Dogs...

Due to the overwhelming response to the assignment of vicious and dangerous to certain breed of dogs (i.e., pit bulls) the council has opted to take another look at the assignment. It was suggested they be taken off the list. An amendment to the ordinance or a revised ordinance will have to be drafted and passed.
