County Hosts Forestry Competition
The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture hosted its annual forestry competition in Hampton. Students from surrounding school districts attended to participate. The competition had close to 100 students.
The contest events this year were tree identification, volume determination, pest/ disease identification, forest product identification and forest equipment identification. Participants were ranked on cumulative scores between all events and the top three highest scores on each team were utilized for cumulative team rankings.
