Grand Opening in Hampton

After selling a bit of deer corn in the fall, and keeping regular hours since early January, Broach Hardware and Feed is hosting its grand opening this Saturday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Jamie Williamson, manager of the business for his brother-in-law Ricky Broach, said there will be hot dogs, chips, and drinks for visitors stopping in at the 10,000 square-foot enterprise at 207 S. Second Street to help get the word out that Hampton has its own hardware and feed store.

“Working on rent houses I would have to go to Fordyce, Camden, or El Dorado to get stuff,” Williamson said. “So why not open one here?”

Joining him on staff are Emily Strickland and Tori Cormier, who also has a small flea market area in the store, currently displaying glassware with more to come.
