The Hampton City Council received a petition from local residents about speeding problems on Nettles and Pebble Street. Hampton police will increase their presence on the street to prevent speeding.

Justin Byrd, from the water department, told the council they received two water pumps but a new water pump and control system will have to be rehabbed. One of the pumps have an eight year warranty and the second pump is used as back up. The city of Hampton had $6,000 left from the insurance check and that will be used to help pay for the new system. The council approved the labor to be done on the sewer system and will purchase the parts.
