New Dump Trucks For Calhoun County

The Quorum Court was presented a new line item this month on the financial report. The county treasurer, Jennifer Beene, saw an opportunity to save money while financing for the dump trucks. The new line item was required in order to invest in a new CD (Certificate of Deposit) which allowed for options such as increasing the rate of return if interest rates change along with adding toif needed. The new CD along with existing ones will be considered collateral for the new dump trucks which allows for a lower interest rate. The new trucks went into service as soon as they arrived.
