Quorum Court Meets

The Calhoun County Quorum Court welcomed Bill Blann to the vacant position. Blann was appointed by the governor to replace the late Dorthy Ware.

Following the acceptance of the treasurer’s report and minutes from the previous meeting, Kristen Windham introduced the air ambulance service, Survival Flight. The service has annual membership available for individuals as well as plans for groups, such as the county or businesses, churches, etc. The group plan is $40 per year for a household and covers the cost of air ambulance transport if needed. The nearest helicopter is based at the El Dorado hospital heliport. Hot Springs also has the service available. They are also available for First Aid courses such as CPR. The Quorum Court approved to include all employees full or parttime which comes to $3,360.00.
