Residents Speak Out Against City Council
Many Hampton residents attended the Hampton City Council to voice concerns. The city council meeting was held at the Calhoun County Nutrition Center in order to maintain social distancing.
Against Redefining Dogs...
Regina Bethea spoke before the council about the recent amendment to the animal ordinance defining pitbull type dogs as “dangerous and vicious.” She felt the decision was unjustified and the dogs don’t have a voice. She passed out a sheet of “myths” on pitbulls.
“We should not identify dangerous dogs by their breed,” said Bethea.
