I finished the book, The Coach’s Widow by Alexis Pacheco in just a few days. I couldn’t put it down. It’s not just about the passing of her late husband Coach Mac but about her life and her story. From the first chapter you can feel what Alexis is feeling. The way it’s written is as if you are there in the room with her.
Alexis does not hold back on how she felt during the passing of Coach Mac. She’s honest and not afraid to share both the good and the bad. I highly respect that and find it refreshing. She shows even through our imperfections and trials, we serve a lov-ing and merciful God who never leaves our side even in the darkest times.
