Douglas Peace,

83, died April 5, 2025. He was born March 15,1942 in Magnolia, AR to Allen and Doris Peace. Douglas was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hampton. He loved spending time outdoors riding motorcycles, fishing, and talking to people. If you knew Douglas, you knew he was one who “never met a stranger.” He was an entrepreneur for many years, working mostly in the insurance business and making many friends along the way. He will be most remembered as a loving husband and wonderful father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lowetta Edwards. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn Peace; a son, Matthew Peace and his wife, Clare; his grandchildren, Austin Peace, Taylor Peace, David Rivera and his wife, Lexi along with their children Indy and Noah; Brianna Hickey and her husband, Blake; a brother in law, Dr. Bill Furlow and his wife, Francis along with their children, Dr. Karen Baker and Dr. John Furlow and Bill and Francis’ grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Hampton. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 205 at the First Baptist Church of Hampton followed by interment at Campground Cemetery.
