age 81 of Thornton passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025 at St. John’s Place in Fordyce. He was born November 17, 1943 in Thornton, Arkansas. He was a retired pipeline worker and a member of Thornton United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall Thomas Whitley and Alma Ruth Harper Whitley; wife, Barbara James Whitley; one brother, Wayne Whitley; one grandson, Jim Moody. He is survived by one son, Chance Whitley of Thornton; two daughters, Joy Moody of Thornton, Faith (Scott) Manes of Thornton; one brother, Larry (Sherry) Whitley of Russellville; one sister, Carolyn Brandon of Thornton; four grandchildren, Josh (Haley) Langley, Krystle Moody, Jewel Manes, Jordan (Penny) Manes; great grandchildren, Whitley James, Bayler Jack and several nieces and nephews.
