Lee Birda Leonard, lovingly known as “Tannie,” passed away on June 4, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born on December 29, 1930, to David (Hawk) Moore and Ruthie Lee Collins Moore in Hampton, AR.

Tannie made her home in Cleveland, OH, where she built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She was united in marriage for 66 years to her beloved husband, Henry Leonard. Tannie was the proud mother of one daughter, Mae Ruth Leonard Powell.

Tannie enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and treasured the many places she was able to visit. Of all her travels, Hawaii held a special place in her heart and remained her favorite destination.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David (Hawk) Moore and Ruthie Lee Collins Moore; her husband Henry Leonard; her daughter Mae Ruth Leonard Powell; her son-inlaw Kenneth Powell; her two granddaughters, Attorney Verlinda Powell and Cynthia Powell Kline; two sisters, Daisy Moore Leonard and Phyllis Moore Walter; and two brothers, David Moore Jr. and Dan Moore.

Tannie leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughter, Michelle Powell of Cleveland, OH; two great grandsons, Dylan Kline and Gunnar Kline; three brothers, Dale Moore Sr. (Gail), of Little Rock, AR; Elder Doyle Moore Sr. (Clara), of Little Rock, AR; and Delton Moore (Hazel), of Camden, AR; two sisters, Ruby Moore Newton (Leroy), of Little Rock, AR; and Carrie Moore Igwe (Harrison), of Farmington, MI; along with many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Tannie will be remembered for the love she shared and the strength she carried. Her life was a blessing and her memory will be treasured, as well as her legacy of love which will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
