Anneke Cox James,

81, of Thornton died Friday May 12, 2023 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Born November 16, 1941 at Louann, she was the daughter of the late Nelson Cox and Elsie Nichols Cox.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill T. James and Bill Summers. She is survived by her daughter, Stacia Williams and her husband, Jimmy of Bearden; step-son Bill Ed James and his wife, Donna of Fordyce; two grandchildren, Stephanie James and John James and his wife, Jessica; two greatgrandchildren, Kynlee and Deacon James.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Moss Cemetery.
