Margie Francis Short,

Margie Francis Short, 87, passed away on March 15, 2019 at Circle of Life hospice facility in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born and raised in Tinsman, Arkansas to Blann and Treasy (Gardner) Nutt. From an early age, Margie enjoyed taking care of others. This passion lead to her becoming a Registered Nurse and later in life, lovingly being referred to as “Nanny”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Wanda Martin and Gerald Nutt; and her husband, Virgil Arthur Short. She is survived by her loving children Phyllis Williams and Roger (Carla) Short; adoring grandchildren Winston Williams, Ryan Short, Seth Williams, Allison (Charleston) Weaver, and Kyle (Jess) Short; and 13 precious great-grandchildren.

A grave-side service will be held at Earnest Cemetery on March 30th at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of fl owers, memorials should be made to the Broyles Foundation, supporting Alzheimer’s caregivers. Th e family would like to give special thanks to Tabitha Meredith, with Home Helpers, for her loving assistance.
