Peggy Jean Lacewell Cathey

Peggy Jean Lacewell Cathey, age 90, of Thornton died Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce, Arkansas. She was born August 8, 1931 in Fordyce, Arkansas. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Thornton United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Earnest Lacewell and Sarah Elizabeth Poole Lacewell; and husband, Lee Roy Cathey, Sr. Peggy is survived by one son, Lee Roy Cathey, Jr. of Thornton; three daughters, Libby Coates of Thornton, Becky (Eugene) Heatherly of Fordyce, Mary Dell (Tommy) Harper of Thornton; one special cousin, Patricia Brandon of Whitting, IN; three grandchildren, Tom (Dana) Cook of Benton, Michelle (Steve) Timmermans of Fayetteville, Brae (Candace) Harper of Gentry; and two great grandchildren, Riggs Harper of Gentry and Lauren Cook of Benton.

Visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Grigsby officiating.
