Robert Cleve Newton

Robert Cleve Newton , 56 of Hampton died June 23, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was a graduate of Hampton High School and Southern Arkansas University with a bachelor’s of business admin. He was proud to be a member of Sigma Pi. He was a member of Hampton Church of Christ and was employed at Eds Supply in El Dorado. He is preceded in death by grandparents; John and Lucy Priddy of Locust Bayou and Cleve and Verna Newton of Hampton, father; James V. Newton, brothers; James Carroll, Danny Dwayne Newton both of Hampton.

He is survived by his mother; Onnye Newton of Hampton; sisters, Cheryl Furr and husband Dallas of Locust Bayou and Kristi Branch and husband Jim Bob of Camden, brother, Rick Newton and wife Angela of Hampton; along with a multitude of nieces and nephews that adored him and his special dog child, Phideaux.

To know him was to love him, he loved his family, flying drones, and had an awesome talent for woodworking. He enjoyed a simple life and was a friend to all.

Visitation will be from 9 AM to 10 AM on Friday June 25, 2021 at Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday June 25, 2021 at Campground cemetery with Johnny Hobbie and Mike Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UCAPS in El Dorado, 1000 Sunset Rd. El Dorado, AR 71730. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
