Bulldogs Lose First Round Play-Off Game to Mineral Springs

D.D. Stephens 19 carries for 165 yards was not enough to offset the 130 yards in penalties that contributed to the 18 to 14 defeat that the Hornets handed the Bulldogs last Friday night.

 

The game was the worse effort the Dogs have made in a football game in the last two seasons. There was a very visible lack of effort from many of the players, way too many penalties and a look of going thru the motions of playing a football game. But then, most of these boys like to deer hunt.

 

Hampton, in truth, was the better team but the Hornets wanted the game more. I think there will be a change in attitude and effort between now and next season. Plus, I suspect there will be a change in discipline.
