Hampton Bulldogs Loses to Rison Wildcats

The Wildcats did not waste any time getting a touchdown that would give them the lead for good but they were challenged the whole game. Rison had too much speed and some very good blocking that let their ball carriers break free and build up the yardage. They amassed 423 total yards for the night.

The second tally, by Rison, came following an interception that gave the Wildcats the ball at Hampton’s 26. Six plays later Rison had a 16 to 0 lead, Hampton got on the board 6 plays into the 2nd quarter. With 3rd and 12 from their 22 Welch hit Murphy for 18-yards. The 1st quarter ended on a 20-yard carry by Stevens. On 4th and 7 Welch completed 12-yard pass to Ilian Martinez then Ilian’s brother, Carlos, carried for 26-yards and the score. Welch kicked true and there would be no shutout. The half ended with Rison sitting on a 32 to 7 edge.
