Hampton Wins Two at Gurdon Tournament

Gurdon, AR - The Bulldogs made short work of Mineral Springs in the tournament opener. Gauge Welch handled pitching duties for Hampton, finishing with seven strikeouts in three innings. At the plate, the Bulldog bats accounted for eleven hits and seventeen runs, leading to the enforcement of the mercy rule in the third inning. Carlos Martinez led Hampton at the plate with two hits and three runs batted in. Brian Williams added a three RBI triple in the bottom of the first, and Bryce Nutt batted in two runs in the second.
